Bona Fide (orig. Mieletön Vilppi) is a three part Elisa Originals documentary series about the biggest art forgery crime operation in Europe that lasted for over three decades.
I wrote and directed the series that we shot partly as fiction and partly as a documentary. The pre-production and filming took place in 2021-2023.
The story is based on the books Mieletön Vilppi & Vilpitön Mieli by Marko Erola & Jouni Ranta.

The documentary film “Fences Around Us” takes us in the middle of Botswana to the vast Kalahari Desert. We hear stories from various San elders, artists and political freedom fighters of their struggle to save their culture from being demolished and forgotten.
The film shows the disastrous effects on the lives and culture of modern San People that the Botswana government forced relocations and evictions of the various San people from their ancestral lands in the Central Kalahari Game Reserve has caused.
Once free to wander the desert the San are now forced to live in settlements without the right to hunt and gather in the wild.
